I graduated from West Union High School class of 1984, graduated from Southern State Law Enforcement Academy in 1998 and was able to obtain my Law Enforcement Instructors Certificate in 2008 from Ohio Peace Office training Academy and I also have an Adult Teaching Certification through the Ohio Department of Education. I have been an instructor in the Police Academy at Southern State Community College, Brown County Police Academy at Georgetown Ohio and Warren County Police Academy in Georgetown Ohio.

I started my career as a police officer, with the West Union Police Department in 1998 and later in 1998 with Peebles Police Department. In 1999 I started as a Road Deputy at the Adams County Sheriff Office I was assigned to Peebles Elementary School and High School as the School Resource Officer. I held the position until 2002 when I went back to road patrol for the Sheriff Office. I worked in Patrol from 2002 until 2014, I then returned to the Peebles area schools as a School Resource Officer.

while working as a Deputy Sheriff I have received advanced training in Interview and Interrogations, and drugs and drug awareness. Evidence collection, crime scene preservation, investigations, domestic violence and in 2008 became a Taser Instructor for the Sheriffs Office. I have been able to take training in most aspects of police work through the Adams Country Sheriff Office, BCl&l, Ohio Attorney General Office, National Police Chief Association, Homeland Security, National Organization of School Resource Office and Ohio School Resource Officers.

I have been very fortunate and honored to be recognized for my work in law enforcement. I have received three life saving awards, Deputy of the year, an award for closing multiple felony cases. I also received commendation for work on Homicide Investigation; I was recognized by Mother Against Drunk Drivers for work on DUI cases. I was also nominated for a National Award for work as a School Resource Officer through NASRO.

I'm married to Shelia Brewer who works at Peebles Elementary, we have four children and four grandchildren. In my spare time I like to fish, play games and follow the Reds and that great football team known as Steelers.
