Why did you decide to teach?
I decided to teach because I enjoy working with young people and helping them discover their strengths.
Teaching allows me to make a positive impact, not just academically, but by helping students build confidence, responsibility, and life skills they can carry beyond the classroom.

Why teach at Peebles?
Peebles is a close-knit, supportive community that truly values its school and students.
I wanted to teach somewhere I could build meaningful relationships with students and families and make a lasting difference.
Peebles is home and I’m proud to be part of this school.

Any other duties?
In addition to teaching, I serve as the Peebles FFA advisor and help with a variety of student activities and projects.
I enjoy being involved beyond the classroom and supporting students in hands-on, real-world learning experiences.

What was your favorite class when you were in high school
My favorite class in high school was agriculture because it combined learning with hands-on experiences and real-life applications.
It played a big role in shaping my career path.

Are you married & do you have children?
Yes, I am married to Matthew Minton, he is a welder and serves as the Chief of the Franklin Township Fire Department.
We have four children: Boone, Case, Bristol, and Silas.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, working with animals, and supporting school and community events.

What is your favorite quote?
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” — Benjamin Franklin
“Agriculture is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals, and happiness.” — Thomas Jefferson
