The group DC Talk consist of three members, Toby, Mike, and Kevin.
They've been singing together ever since

One of the frequently asked questions when it comes to DC talk, is how did they get together.
The members of DC Talk met at a Liberty University. Michael sang in a chapel
one day, and Toby introduced himself and they became friends. Then Kevin did a
song in the chapel, "Lord of the Harvest", and Michael introduced himself and
told him about his friend Toby McKeehan. Then eventually they all met and moved
in together. In January 1989, they signed a record deal with ForeFront records.
They then moved to Nashville, Tenn. and DC Talk was then
formed. The group was founded in Washington DC.
Anthor frequent asked question is what does the dc stand for in DC Talk. As you
know the group was founded in Washington DC, which is where the intials originally
came from. But the record company suggested they stand for Decent Christian. A

- 1995: In the billboard Christian charts, Jesus Freak held the number 1 position
for 37 weeks.
- 1996: In the UK magazine, they had a couple of entries. In the Contempory Music
top 40 they held Jesus Freak number 5 and Free at last number 31; in the video top 40,
Narrow as the road was number 30. Billboard magazine Between you and me was number
29
- 1997: Jesus Freak was number 1 for 3 weeks.
- 1998: CCM chart supernatural was number 1, Billboard chart it was number 4
Second week of CCM chart it was number 2 and 32 on the billboard chart.
